A dream come true

Have you ever had a thought, a concept, an idea that one day, you hoped might become reality?

I have a belief everything thing is possible, with the right determination and positive thinking you can put your mind to anything AND DO IT!

I have written a Mini Musical before, one of the hardest tasks I had to do with no musical or theatrical experience at all.

Richard Branson has a concept of SCREW IT JUST DO IT!  And it has done him pretty well, so why couldn't I give it a go?

The birth of a NEW Mini Tune...

For years I have wanted to write, produce and take part in the production of a Mini record.

In May 2009 I started by asking the Mini public's opinion by producing leaflets asking enthusiasts to vote for a record from the 1960's to be remastered.  A survey was put on my website, which sadly went badly wrong (a long story to be told only to those who can't sleep at night!)

In September I resorted to plan B and my dreams started to become reality.  I spoke my friend and talented man, John Jackson, a musician from The Fabulous Boogie Band (www.fabulousboogieband.com).

Just a few weeks later on 4th October 2009 The Mini Tune was played for the first time to an audience at the Ace Cafe London.  The song was written by Ben Jones in collaboration with Lee Pegrum and the Fabulous Boogie Band who played under their new name Austin Cooper and the Mayfairs.

At last!  On 24th January 2010 the Mini tune, now know as "It's a Mini!" was finally committed to a recording with the assistance of Jim at the Ranscombe Studios in Rochester, Kent.
